You are one of the most wonderful people I know, and I hope you get the kind of year you deserve - good health, happiness, and lots of creative fannish pleasure.
It's amazing what drinking Kinnie will do to your brain.

Though on the Kinnie front, there's good news - I think I've found a source for Kinnie right here in Ontario. Not in Ottawa - sadly - but in/near Toronto. How to get the Kinnie from Toronto to Ottawa remains problematic, but we're working on the logistics. ("We" being me and the gentleman selling it.) Malta to Toronto is the difficult part, right? The rest should be possible - even if I have to go to Toronto by bus to pick it up myself!
Have to confess I have NO IDEA how far Toronto is from Ottawa. ::hangs head in shame at own ignorance of Canadian geography:: I do hope this works out, even if you have to personally bus your supply into Ottawa!
PS Just watched yesterday's Torchwood. Damn, but Burn Gorman is good. ::deletes spoilery comment:: Have you seen it yet?

Hmm. Well, such distances don't exist in Malta, and I'm not sure about distances from, say, Malta to place sin Italy, and it's not the same when you have to cross water.... Maybe Rome to Bologna? It's maybe about the same distance as San Francisco to Los Angeles? Or a little less? To put it more clearly: 5-6 hours by car on the high-speed motorways (insofar as they exist), maybe an hour in the air by plane, about about $140 Cdn by bus last I checked. And in miles... erm. Okay, I looked it up. 219.17 miles. 352.72 kilometers. Here's the rather cool map fragment I found that on: http://www.mapcrow.info/Distance_between_Toronto_CA_and_Ottawa_CA.html
Just that I feel that the rest of the team, and Jack especially, were more than a little bit unfeeling in taking away Owen's identity as a Torchwood team member and then expecting him to be okay with being dead and unemployed.
Yeah, they should have handled the 'unemployed' thing better. Owen needs to feel needed. They could have found work for him, surely - even if they had no alien corpses to study, they could have put him onto some research or analysis task.
Perhaps Jack felt he wasn't quite to be trusted with it at this point, but he could have pretended. Or at least paid more attention to him, not just sending him home - that wasn't particularly kind. I think Jack felt it was time for Owen to sink or swim - face the situation and carry on. But he could have eased the way more.
We've seen that when he was alive Owen reacted really badly to losing his postition at Torchwood. Death wouldn't make it any easier!

You liked Life! I am so glad. I love that show. I look forward to its return, though the place the series stopped was a fairly satisfactory point.
Hope you slept well.

::deletes spoilery comment:: Have you seen it yet?
I watched it this morning before my mammogram. It was a nice distraction. So what comment were you going to make?
