I'd heard about this, but hadn't seen it yet: someone posted the link to the Bujold mailing list.

If you don't know the background, Jeanne Robinson is a dancer who co-wrote a novel called Stardance with her husband Spider Robinson, which I read decades ago.

This is not just life mirroring fiction, it's life catching up to science fiction.

Jeannie used to be the AD for a dance company in Halifax for years, before they moved out to BC. It was always impossible to read their fiction without seeing her doing the dancing.

How wonderful! I'd seen videos of her dancing (briefly) but never saw her in person. I thought this clip was lovely - not just for the dance angle, which is wonderful enough, but for the conceptual thing. The... making an idea from a novel come alive in a way we always thought it couldn't, or at least, not in our lifetimes.
