Jul. 23rd, 2003 10:59 amAliya has started teaching me Quigong instead of Kundalini Yoga in our early-morning sessions. Her idea, not mine: I could happily do yoga forever. But she wants practice in teaching, and I'm curious, and grateful that she is willing to teach me.
It's... different.
It seems oddly easy, as if doing it doesn't involve effort or concentration, but letting go. Which is good. It's like meditating and dancing and doing tai chi at the same time.
Meanwhile, I've decided to take Sivanada yoga at Santosha House, starting on Sunday. I've taken classes there before, and loved it. I would like to continue with Barbara Young's Iyengar-style yoga, but she's only teaching in New Edinburgh and Westboro just now, and I don't want to have to go that far. I would start at Santosha House on Friday evening, but I think a bunch of us may be going to see "Pirates of the Caribbean" - I still have friends who haven't seen it.
