The Ten Best Things about Christmas 2007:
1. Being able to sleep late with a clear conscience, and then having potato pancakes for breakfast.
2. Reading [livejournal.com profile] maaseru's excellent (and romantic) Donald/Timmy fanfic.
3. Exercising and watching Enchanted April.
4. Going for a walk - everything quiet and beautiful.
5. The birds being so chirpy and cute.
6. Reading Batman and Son by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert
7. [livejournal.com profile] maaseru's turkey dinner
8. Watching Moonstruck, one of my favourite romances.
9. Lovely, lovely pressies.
10. Doctor Who:"The Voyage of the Damned".

Sounds like you had a nice day! ::hugs::

Did you get my present? Hmm, maybe not. *sigh* Yours to me hasn't got here yet. I'd say we really need that wormhole. *g*

Soooo, what did you think of The Voyage of the Damned? I should be able to watched in 15 mins or so. Though I think I shall try and exercise some self control and have my lunch beforehand. Leftover smoked salmon - yum!

Hugs back - yes, I had a lovely day.

And I did get your present, and I absolutely love it. I'm planning to get it framed, though I haven't quite decided where to put it yet. Perhaps by the harp.

As for your present... I hope it comes soon. As a New Year's Present, maybe. Or in time for your brithday. Or in time for Christmas next year.

I loved The Voyage of the Damned.

I'm so glad it arrived safely and in time! And that you love it. *g* I thought it would remind you of our little harbour cruise by dghajsa.

It did arrive unsquashed, I hope? ::crosses fingers::

I've just finished Voyage of the Damned. It was immensely satisfying. And I cried - me! - twice!!. Over Astrid, of course, and at the end, when Mr Copper was so happy that he could finally afford a house. ::wipes eyes::

Roll on, season 4!

It did remind me of the harbour cruise, and of the view from our hotel room near the Upper Barrakka Gardens. It wasn't squashed but it needs to be left under something flat for a while to become uncurled.

I cried a little over Voyage of the Damned too, several times. Like whenever the Doctor was being heroic. Or when anyone was being heroic. Astrid was great! but so were most of the characters. Loved the Midshipman doing his duty when the Captain wouldn't.

Enchanted April- I love that movie. Was it on TV or have you somehow found a dvd or vhs copy?

I wsas watching Enchanted April because some people on one of the Dunnett mailing lists were enthusiastic over it. And though I haven't seen it all yet, by any means, I do love what I've seen. I want to read the novel, too.

I found a VHS copy at my local public library.

What did you think of "Voyage"? Catherine liked it. And, thanks for the compliments!

I would have enthused more but I figured you'd be embarrassed amd I wouldn't want to embarrass you.

I loved Voyage of the Damned with a goofy, happy fannish adoration. It was kind of perfect.

Voyage of the Damned was very cool. But, it brings up a conversation we had earlier about the three companion departure scenarios:

S2 -- The Doctor leaves the companion(s).
S3 -- The companions leave him.
S4 -- The companion dies?

If RTD maintains the companion arc throughline for S4 as he has for the previous years, we'll have to brace ourselves for losing Rose, Martha, or Donna. Frankly, I hope it's Donna.

Yes, that's the pattern... I'd be heartbroken if Martha died.

Which version of "Enchanted April"? Black-and-white or color [with Miranda Richardson]? That *and* "Moonstruck"? Shades of "All This, and Heaven Too"! ;)

It was in colour, yes, I think it was Miranda Richardson.

It made for some fun viewing, though I haven't finished "Enchanted April" yet.
