He was, wasn't he? I first saw him (and came to love him) in Velvet Goldmine, in which he had the additional advantage of being sexy with Ewan McGregor. So nice.
Watched any episodes of The Tudors? He looks NOTHING like Henry VIII (too skinny, not tall enough), but if you ignore that "minor" historical inaccuracy, he's great!!
My problem with him is that I first saw him when he was playing Elvis, and I can't get that image out of my brain long enough to even recognize what he really looks like.
Now, I haven't seen his version of Elvis, so I'm okay there. I hope to see it some day. I'm sure he was very Elvis-like, but you know? I can't even imagine that!
He was scary, he was so like. Which is another reason (besides the fact that the show comes on at the same time as House, M.D.) that I haven't been able to watch The Tudors, in spite of being a history buff.
I cannot wrap my brain around the same actor playing both Elvis and Henry VIII [g].
