Heroes: Kindred...

I watched this episode of Heroes in inverted order - missed the first ten minutes, then went back and watched them after the show was over. It gave an odd perspective.

My thoughts:

1. Peter is as beautiful as ever, but I miss Nathan and I'd like to see what's happening with Angela Petrelli. I like Peter's tattoo. I like it that he can sometimes read minds, and sometimes use his other powers, without any clear idea of what they are. I hated it that he wouldn't look in the box and learn who he is. Idiot! Still, I like it that he (again) got the girl. More Peter sex scenes, please.



2. Loved seeing Nichelle Nichols. So what is Niki up to with the Company? And what, exactly, does Niki want to be cured from? Her powers, or Jessica? And is that a set-up?



3. Hiro is adorable still and made me laugh. Is he staying in the 17th century for the sake of the girl, or for Kanzei?



4. So Candace has Sylar, and now on Maui. And he's trying to get out of his cage. I'm sorry to see him back, but I like Candace/Michelle.



5. Bennet: as good as ever. Claire seems neither as mature or as clever as she did last season. Or is that just me? I don't find West very interesting: he seems very generic to me, a sort of stereotyped "American high school kid" who, as it happens, can fly. But I loved his reference to Bennet at the end: I'm hoping for something more interesting from him. It's a nice irony, of course, if West is working for the Company because Bennet roped him in.



6. Alejandro and Maya remain less interesting than most of the others. Maybe I'd like Maya better if she wasn't such a weepy wimp. Maybe I'd like Alejandro better if he didn't look so anxious all the time. They do nothing but worry and run... I get impatient.



7. Mohinder is so beautiful. I wish I had more confidence in him!



8. I wish we'd seen the Haitian.

Larter said in an interview that Niki would be tied to the virus storyline, so she probably has the virus, and she's leaving Micah with Nana, because she isn't 100% sure she'll live to come back for him. Btw, part of the reason for the separation is that Larter had to go make a movie. I have a feeling that was Niki's blood sample that Bob handed Mohinder at the end.

Peter not looking in the box was flat-out stupid. Dude, it was just WHAT YOU HAD ON YOU. This means it's driver's license and gum and crap. If you were an awful person (of course he wasn't, but even if he had been), THE BOX WON'T TELL YOU. Boys are dumb sometimes. Awfully pretty, but dumb. This season really is all about shirtless Peter, isn't it?

Nichelle Nichols - woot! I like Mica better than Nikki anyway. Hopefully they'll focus on him for a bit.

Hiro is totally staying for the girl. heh Not that he doesn't want to help Kensei, but it's all about the pretty lady, I'm thinking.

Pathetic!Sylar is interesting. I want to see more.

Same on Mohinder. What about the little bitch fight between him and Matt? Wow! They really have turned into an old married couple, haven't they? Matt's all worried about him, so he's acting pissy instead of just saying so. hehe Boys are silly. I'm worried about Mohinder. He *is* in over his head a bit. :sigh: Hopefully Bennet's smart enough for both of them.

I think it's a sad commentary on the characters that the stoner guy was more interesting in one line of dialogue and thirty seconds' appearance, than Maya and Alejandro have been through three episodes.

I'm worried about Mohinder. He *is* in over his head a bit.

So he is. I'm hoping it will work out, but... I worry.
