Barrowman and a birthday...

This evening I took my friend Donna out to Sushi Kan for her birthday, and then we went back to my place and I showed her the last episode of Torchwood which she hadn't seen, "End of Days", and then we both watched the first episode, "Everything Changes" on regular TV because it is at last being shown on the CBC.

It was wonderful.

A nice ending to a stressful day.

You know, I realize now they did, and I didn't even notice. I've watched that episode so often I just imagined it was still there. But it wasn't. A zillion ads, instead.

Grump.

I'm more upset about the 'estrogen' speech, though.

She was righteous about it, not because she's a slasher, but because she pointed out how much that establishes in his character.

Proves the point that he'll do anything it takes to get something he wants.

Bless my mom for calling me specifically to tell me that, and then ranting for a good ten minutes on her fear of them cutting out other things.

Well, it's most objectionable, because it isn't as if there weren't other bits that could have gone and been much less missed. There are numerous reasons that does a disservice to Owen - it's a fairly important introductory scene, for him. Without it, he looks less conniving, and more straight. Both notions would be misleading!
