With [livejournal.com profile] commodorified, [livejournal.com profile] auriaephialia and [livejournal.com profile] raynedaze at my place, we watched the Doctor Who episodes "Blink" and "Utopia", which [livejournal.com profile] commodorified missed because she was in England. (Odd irony there.)

"Blink", I enjoyed more than ever. "Blink" is brilliant and I think I'm in love with Sally Sparrow. And with the Doctor as he appears here. And of course with Billy Shipton. ("Life is short, and you're hot." What a great line!)

"Utopia", not so much. I really liked the Professor and Chantho, but my enjoyment of the Doctor was dimmed by what I knew was about to come.

Sally Sparrow was great. Wouldn't mind seeing her again. :-)

Haven't rewatched any episodes from this season yet, but expect I will sooner or later. I thought this season was by far the best of the newer ones (mostly because I think Martha beats Rose by a million miles) - except the last two episodes, which were a bit of an anti-climax. Sadly.

Sally Sparrow was wonderful. Smart, brave, cute. Absolutely terrific.

I love Martha with a passion, but had problems with some of the scripts and especially the Martha/Doctor relationship - and especially the last episode, which has left me puzzled about themes and characters and their relationships - I certianly agree about them being anti-climactic. I have been discussing this at great length with [livejournal.com profile] nina_ds at http://fajrdrako.livejournal.com/742534.html, if you're curious about my thoughts. I feel the show has shifted over the past season, and I am having trouble keeping up.
