X-Files revisited, remade...

So they're talking again about making another X-Files movie.

Seems to me they finished off the story, and the last season or two of X-Files left me feeling wounded. It's been so long, can Duchovny and Anderson still become Mulder and Scully? Well, yes, of course, they are actors. But it's hard for me to look at this with optimism, to think of it as anything but exploitation of a franchise. I wonder if Nick Lea would be in it.

If they make another movie... what would they do? With the plot?

It will be a great movie. Scully will realise what idiots they've all been, quit her job and find a great new one in an unrelated field. Krycek - alive and well - will appear from the shadows in a very exciting, well-filmed scene, that isn't done with uber-melodrama but with a sensitive touch. Mulder will look up and pout, and then stop pouting, and smile. There will be Skinner, I think he'll be lifting weights or something.

Aliens will invade the earth, infiltrate television and politics, and make both fields SO MUCH BETTER. The only questionable thing they'll do is ban the use of green goo in the media.

Funny how the producers have such skewed priorities. Notice how they don't even talk about Krycek in the publicity? Don't they realize how much we all adore him?

Heck, why don't they make a Krycek movie? I'd go.

I'm at a public library and don't remember my password, so I'm not logged in.
For part of the first season and the first few episodes
of the 2nd, NL played a strategic (if not too much screen time) character. I have missed the past three weeks so I don't know whether he's still on.

Well, they could show up in Cardiff because of anomalous energy readings that mess up their laptop and cellphone interaction, of course. Contemplate... hee. Mulder and Ianto and Jack. Scully and Gwen and/or Toshiko. So many possibilities.

Oh, right. That version wouldn't get filmed, would it? More's the pity!

Oh, yes! The perfect plot. jack/Mulder, yup, works for me. And Scully/Tosh, I think, rather than Scully/Gwen. Very nice.

I don't see why they shouldn't film that version. Just call it an art movie, right? Remember how sexy it was when Scully got her tattoo? They'd just be going a little further than that.

I wrote a Jack/Scully piece the other day for oxoniensis's "Porn Battle" challenge, only it ended up too long for the challenge. I'll probably rewrite it at some point and find somewhere to post it. Maybe.
