I just read this delightful article about upcoming events of great hotness and sexiness on Torchwood. I'll cut for the spoiler-sensitive but I have to quote:
Here’s what [John Barrowman] had to say about [James] Marsters’ second-season guest spot: "There’s a scene between he and Jack when they first meet, all I’ll say is, this scene is so hot, so horny, so violent, that all the fans who watch it are going to [er, appreciate it greatly]."
I can’t put on this site what Barrowman actually said,1 but trust me, it made the scene sound intensely steamy.
Sounds like what Marsters' was quoted as saying about the scene, but it confirms Marsters' unspoken implication that the scene is between his character and Captain Jack.
Oh happy, happy news.
Now, I know it's not really a case of Jack having sex with Spike, but ...a fan's gotta dream what a fan's gotta dream, right?
So John Barrowman tried out for the part of Lee Adama in Battlestar Galactica. And if he'd got it, would Jamie Bamber have ended up in Doctor Who and Torchwood as Captain Jack? I must say, I'm glad they got the roles they got, because I think they are both perfect in the roles they have. And there are, come to think of it, certainly obvious similarities between Lee and Jack. Both are pilots, for example. It pleases me all the more that I wrote a Torchwood/BSG crossover piece....
Here is the piece with James Marsters' comments from last week. And another link for this one.

1 This makes me wish I could find a website that has a verbatim transcript of this interview.
