Carrying On

Ianto and Gwen ran Torchwood together. He became the rock on which she could depend. Calm, efficient, self-contained and competent. She did the field work; the dirty work. He dealt with the rest.

Jack, come home. Torchwood needs you.

He catalogued their findings, helped Owen and Toshiko write reports.

Jack, come home. The planet needs you.

He was determined to prove Torchwood was viable even without Jack's expertise. No one knew alien tech and alien races like Jack did - including the post-quantum engineering and the lewd stories.

Jack, come back. I need you.

I miss you.
