Jun. 15th, 2007 01:56 pmI stole these questions from
- 1. Have dinner with?
2. Share an apartment with?
3. Be locked in a jail cell with?
4. Go camping with?
5. Go on a date with?
Okay, let me set parameters here. Say the fandom is, for a start, Torchwood, and I have to answer someone other than Jack. Okay? So here's who I'd like to:
- 1. Have dinner with? Toshiko. I loved the scenes where she was eating out with Mary. And I loved her in the "Chinese food" scene in "Day One", too.
2. Share an apartment with? Ianto. He's neat, he doesn't get in the way or talk too much, but he's pleasant to be with, and I bet we could agree on what TV shows to watch.
3. Be locked in a jail cell with? Not Jack? Pity. Gwen would probably be the most persistent and capable at getting out. Ianto would be practical. Rhys was obviously grumpy when locked up and Owen is always grumpy. So I'll say Gwen.
4. Go camping with? Ianto hates camping. I hate camping. Let's decide Gwen. She could at least distract me from my dislike of camping. It might even be fun.
5. Go on a date with? Ooh. I think I must be in a Gwen-positive mood, but she's so good at having fun, and she's so vibrant and sexy... Yeah, Gwen.
Answering for Doctor Who, making "the Doctor", "Martha" and "Jack" ineligible answers:
- 1. Have dinner with? Sally Sparrow and Kathy Nightingale. Definitely not Margaret Blaine!
2. Share an apartment with? Zachary Cross Flane.
3. Be locked in a jail cell with? Bernice Summerfield. Or maybe Jake Simmonds. Can I have both?
4. Go camping with? Trish and Chloe Webster.
5. Go on a date with? Trish Webster.

1 I can't think of anyone in Harry Potter I'd want to have dinner with. Well, maybe Fred and George.

Date: 2007-06-15 07:21 pm (UTC)I am intrigued by this Gwen character. I've never seen any of Torchwood (I'm not even sure I have access to it where I am), but she sounds adventurous and entertaining.

Gwen Cooper is... interesting. I was going to say "Gwen is great" but sometimes she isn't. Sometimes I want to smack her. But... she never fails to entertain me. When she's at her best, I have a crush on her: a cute-smart cop-turned-investigator with the sexiest voice and Welsh accent on TV. (Well... close to it, anyway.) She is adventurous and entertaining and she's rather interestingly far from perfect, especially when it comes to sex - leading some fans to call her a slut, but I she isn't. I love her adventurous attitude and impulsive heart. Whatever she is, she isn't a cliché.
Here'sa picture of Gwen (http://www.sfx.co.uk/resources/sfx/evemyles_400wide.jpg).

Date: 2007-06-18 12:20 am (UTC)Ah, my goodness. You have missed the entire point of being locked in a jail cell -- perhaps intentionally! The idea is not how do I now get out, it's gad, what fun we can have till someone remembers we're in here and comes to fetch us!
I'd go back to Harry Potter fandom and say Severus Snape. Imagine the conversations...!
