I did this quiz twice - the second time because I didn't like the answer I got the first time. And then I got the same answer again, even though I chose (some) different answers.

Okay, I've already said that the Torchwood character I'm probably most like is Gwen, even though I'd rather be like Jack.¹ I really hope I don't make all the really dumb decisions she does. Being cute, solving mysteries, and liking pizza is okay. Having a crush on Jack is okay. But I like Toshiko's boots: so there.

Well... They may not be pretty, but it does seem that Weevils don't make as many stupid mistakes as Gwen does. On the other hand, they end up in Torchwood cells being studied by Owen, which isn't such a great lifestyle.

At least Jack comes and talks to them from time to time.

HAH! And I pinky swear I didn't screw the answers at all! I think it's just biased towards the stuff about being too engrossed with my job but also fairly reticent emotionally at work too. Now, if it had said "Do you want to screw your boss?" or "Are you ridiculously gorgeous?"... NO WAY!

I am envious. Really. Ianto is emo but he focusses on his goal and he knows what he wants. He has a good brain and Jack needs him. Unlike Gwen (sigh) who is an emotional disaster area and Jack doesn't need her because he knows Rhys needs her. (Double sigh.)

Aww, Tosh. Toshiko is quite wonderful. I wouldn't mind being Tosh. The problem, is, I'm not, I don't have those kinds of brains. The only way I'm Toshlike is in being shy. Well, I suppose also in being bi, but that goes for anyone on the show.

Could I perhaps be a cross between Toshiko and a weevil? You know, doing computers and the cool thinking (and sexy) bit while having the more expressive aggressive drive of a weevil?

That sounds quite formidable - and on the whole, Tosh would be better off if she had a few more Weevil-like tendencies. She needs more aggression and self-expression. I still think she was at her best when she was fighting cannibals, and at her second-best when she was showing concern and caring for Jack in 1941. And at her third-best when she was in love with Mary. Emotion suits her, and usually she keeps it bottled within.

I liked her intervention when she had the mind reading amulet and stopped the man with the intention to kill. A good combination of quick thinking and the right level of emotional involvement. No silly impulsive look at me action but rather matter of fact. I like that.

She is a character with so much potential, I do hope it gets more developed in season 2.

Toshiko is quite wonderful. (Except for a few minutes in "End of Days" but Jack forgave her so I can forgive her.) I could handle being Tosh. Wouldn't want to be Suzie or Owen - and I got Owen as a second on the list. Aaargh!

Can't I be DI Swanson, if I can't be Jack?

I'm looking forward to seeing "Torchwood" again on the weekend. It's quite a while since I've sat down and just watched an episode. I wonder if Donna would be willing to see "Captain Jack Harkness" again? I know I showed it to her once before... but I don't currently remember what she and Tasia have or have not seen. Not that there are any of them I really wouldn't want to be watching!

And tomorrow ... "Utopia" airs.
