[livejournal.com profile] golden_hinde twigged me to this one. She is Hermione - I never would have guessed.

Worse, I turn out to be my least favourite of the Harry Potter characters: Dumbledore.

You are Dumbledore. You're the wise sage in any group. With your guidance, any situation can be resolved in the fairest way possible.

BWAH! Ahem. Seriously? You are so Dumbledore. ~runs away~

Dumbledore is simply the closest thing the canon HPverse has to a wise sage - Lupin doesn't have enough chutzpah for the job, I think, and Dumbledore has entirely all too much ...

Behave yourself, woman, or I'll sic the Dementors on you.

Dumbledore! Hmmmpph!

I find Dumbledore an annoying old guy: way too full of himself, and not really wise or kind, because he can't or won't protect Harry.

Okay, okay. I'll behave. (If you're not Dumbledore I'm so not Hermione.) Maybe we should follow the sage advice of a fellow co-worker and take the test for each other? What say you to that challenge?

Being the impatient being that I am, I took the test on your behalf. I'm so sorry, fajrdrako. The test doesn't lie....

A big hearty HUUMPH! Do I have to wear the beard and the dopey robes? I want to dress all cool and snarky in black like Snape.

(But if I can have a cloak of invisibility all my own, and one of those secret maps... that might be compensation.)

The beard is optional but the robes are a must. Now, they needn't be all fugly like Dumbledore's. You can jazz them up with a Bedazzler(tm) or tie-dye them. Ooo! Make sure you accessorize and wear your red Converses with them. Yes: funky robes, a bit of bling, a jaunty chapeau and stylin' shoes. Dumbledore the way he (now she) should be!

You have the secret power to make your own invisibility cloak and I'll share my secret maps with you if it'll help make you happier.

Okay, I did it for you and now you are - ta-DA - Draco Malfoy who is directly the converse of Hermione (or is that the inverse? the perverse?).

Image
You are Draco Malfoy. You're an arrogant son of a bitch. You won't let anything get in the way of your quest for power.

- Way to go! -

Yeah, I think we could make something stylish of Dumbledore yet. Robes like Neo, but with magic-derived Pictish spirals, and those red Converses.

Okay, Draco, we can maybe collaborate on the map/invisibility thing.

NOW we're talkin'!! That ties in beautifully with the result I got from the "Which Heroes Hero are You?" quiz. I swear from now on I'm getting you to do all of my quizzes.

...and for the record: it's perverse -- always perverse. Heh!

Ooo. I like your thinking. Very snazzy. To totally jump genres: maybe they can make "Dumbledore's Robe Remodelling" a Project Runway challenge.

Well, 'Dore, with your magical savvy and my family's money we're sure to be an unstoppable force. We'll decide whether we will be evil/neutral/good with a rock/paper/scissors best of seven challenge.

Well. So it should be.

It would be step up. Or they should do a feature on him on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy".

He's clever in a way which fools people like Hagrid and Arthur Weasley into thinking he's wise and noble, though his compassion is as ephemeral as the twinkle in his eye. I like to think that Lupin is actually intelligent, so I don't know why he cooperates with Dumbly. I like to think Lupin sees him with greater clarity than, say, Harry.

Yes. I tend to think of him as a hypocrite, which is probably unfair: but his reputation, which he fosters, never seems to me to match his nature or his achievements.

I don't think hypocrite is the right word. He's political, the same way Lucius Malfoy is, he's not on the side of good, he's on a certain political side. And he really isn't much of an educator, it's just that having control of Hogwarts is so key.
