I got this from angevin2. Not sure what to make of it. I think I'd like to rate as weirder and more unusual - and I don't like that "conventional" brand on my writing style. Not that I want to be artsy....

I do wonder at their notion of 'normal'. It could be that people on LJ are just abnormal to start with. We're already a far end of the bell curve and this compares us to other people on that same bit of curve.

The overall weirdness level is actually dropping. I'm so glad it picked up on Russell Tesco Davies! Even if it does say I am normal and herdlike, while my aim in life is to make it more surreal for others.

I think a lot of us aim for the unusual rather than the herdlike. And what is the basis of comparison? Though there are clearly some madmen on LJ, they aren't generally of the gibbering variety. We all have opposable thumbs and a language-capable brain. Just how unique can 'unique' be?

Well, yes, I understand that. So if I listed one item as an interest, and one item only, and it was something no one else had listed anywhere - then I would be unique in all ways? But if I list one such item, and then something that just about everyone has listed - I'd be 50% unique?

Which, come to think of it, is a lovely paradox in the first place.
