Curiosity

Curiosity drove Gwen to find Torchwood, she told herself.

She lied.

Curiosity, she pretended, eavesdropping on the revival of a corpse - "I love this planet." She chased the man in the greatcoat up the stairs, to witness that surreal killing that never made the evening news. Simple curiosity.

But it wasn't thoughts of Torchwood that kept her restlessly awake at night. It was Torchwood's leader, with the alien tech, the sensuous smile, those strong hands; immortality bound up in mystery.

"I'm tired of following you," she told him. Jack knew she was lying.

Jack Harkness. She'd follow him anywhere.
