Slumber
Clark felt the touch of something against his skin. He could smell flowers. There was a movement of the bed - Lex? Smiling, his eyes still shut, Clark reached for his lover.
Lex had moved.
Clark lay half-asleep still in a peaceful doze, wanting to caress Lex's skin, to continue his exploration of that smooth white body. Their lovemaking had been interrupted by sleep.
Something insubstantial fell into his upturned palm, meeting his fingers as lightly as a breath, as soft as the warm breath blowing onto his left nipple. Clark smiled, stretching. The breath disappeared.
He opened his eyes. "Lex?"
Lex knelt naked over him, his cupped hands raised, full of crimson petals. They fell slowly down over Clark's pale skin, drifting over the silver sheet, filling the air with their gentle perfume, carpeting the bed.
Clark slept in a sea of rose petals.

Something insubstantial fell into his upturned palm, meeting his fingers as lightly as a breath, as soft as the warm breath blowing onto his left nipple.
So perfectly captures that half-awake feeling where you're not sure what's real yet.
*happy sigh*

Maybe not surprising.
If you aren't careful, I'll issue a cummings challenge. Once I've met the Eliot challenge, of course.

Imagine Lex saying to Clark, "i love my body when it is with your body...."
