Bad Wolf

1997.

Ed Morgan always watched the teens go down his street. He particularly liked one named Gwen. Gap-toothed, lively. She laughed heartily and talked expressively. Full of life. Full of spirit.

He followed her home, and to the shops. He was good at tailing people. No one ever noticed him.

She was his. She didn't know it yet.

One morning a man in a greatcoat stood at his doorstep.

"Don't touch her," he said. "Don't even consider it."

How did he know?

There was something about his eyes....

From that day on, Ed Morgan was afraid to leave his house.
