Smallville, and a crisis of conscience...

acampbell and others have been urging me to sign the "Kill the Clana" petition. (Have I mentioned how I dislike the tendency of Smallville fandom to elide all pairings into one name or word?) Well, I'm certainly no fan of Lana and she's always at her worst with Clark Kent for some reason, so I went today to the site and signed.

After signing, I noticed someone else's comment: "Clois is the way to go. Get rid of Lana!" and I had a crisis of conscience. I dislike the Clark/Lois pairing even more than I dislike the Clark/Lana pairing. I'm afraid that, short of a possible Clark/Lori Lemaris option that they aren't giving us, any deviation from Clark/Lex horrifies me. And the producers, for some perverse reason, aren't going to give us a lifetime of Clark/Lex.

If Clark/Lois is the only alternative, I think I'm sorry I signed.
