Time Present
Ghosts of beautiful lost lovers,
Happiness: images from dreams.
On the TARDIS, Rose Tyler's laugh,
Stronger still than once-upon-a-
Time, her journey ending elsewhere.
Memory is a trickster's ruse.
Assorted friends, fights, sex, signposts,
Candy wrappers with the sweets gone.
Hovering here at the threshold,
Impossible fresh happenings,
New adventures arouse hopes and
Excitement. Life? It's fantastic.

Date: 2007-03-29 04:30 pm (UTC)I like the linking back to Rose, a reminder of other ghosts past, far beyond reach. "Candy wrappers with the sweets gone" is a superb metaphor for these emotional ghosts.
More please! :)

I'm delighted you liked my candy wrapper metaphor!
More to come; I'm planning to post one per day.
