I watched 28 Days Later last night. It isn't my kind of movie - I don't like horror - but I did want to see Christopher Ecccleston. [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi kindly fast-forwarded through the more horrific parts.

I thought the story was thin, but then, I always think the plots in horror stories are thin, more based on situations than plot or character development. And I thought the protagonist, Jim (played by Cillian Murphy) was too guileless. That being said... it was pretty much worth sticking it out to get to Christopher Eccleston. Whom I liked much more than I ought to have.

It took me a while before I figured out why the Infected seemed familiar to me. They reminded me of the Reavers in Firefly.

Now you can see Sean of the Dead, which is a spoof of 28 Days Later, and very slashy/funny.

I have seen Shaun of the Dead, and enjoyed it very much. It didn't have Christopher Eccleston, but it was funny.

I love horror movies, but I never got to this one. Given that AND my love for CE, I guess I need to see it!

It does without saying that Eccleston is quite lovely in it! All macho and pseudo-rational. It's a while before he appears, but great when he does.
