And grossly exaggerates the individual's powers of self-determination. You'd think, from that, that there was no such thing as "environment", "society" (was Thatcher, who said, "There is no such thing as society, only individuals and families" a Rand-ite?), or any kind of wider cultural influences. Many things in our world are ready-mades, with which we have to learn to live, or else react against them. But we don't put them there ourselves.
She also didn't specify what kind of choice she was thinking of; though if her message was, "Be careful about your choices, because they will have consequences," I think that is a good message. It's just that my choices would seldom be the same as hers!
