I watched the Comic Relief skit with David Tennant and Catherine Tate. I had trouble understanding some of Catherine Tate's lines - was it her accent? Made me feel all foreign and clueless. Except for the bits I did get, like mostly the Doctor Who jokes. Loved the ending, "A Rose by any other name...."

Also saw the trailer for the third series that's now up on the BBC website. I'm delighted they're letting people who aren't residents of the UK watch. I hope that trend continues!

So... how many days now?

So... how many days now?

Toooo long! I have to watch the Christmas episode now. I'm weird; I couldn't bear to watch it back at Christmas and have to wait three whole months before the next one. And yes, thankfully we can still see the BBC clips. Not so much with what they've posted on youtube. What's the POINT if you block out of country access?

Especially the bovvered part. I know it's a Thing with her or something, but I don't get it.

I look forward to hearing what you think!

I'm weird; I couldn't bear to watch it back at Christmas and have to wait three whole months before the next one.

I'm not sure what it says about me that this reasoning makes perfect sense.

What's the POINT if you block out of country access?

I've never figured that out, especially when it's shows we get. It drives me nuts that I can't watch the video on the Heroes website even though we get to see each episode on the same day as it's aired in the US. I consider it cruelty to Canadians! I can't see any good reason for it at all.

Especially the bovvered part. I know it's a Thing with her or something, but I don't get it.

A holdover from some other role, maybe?

But David Tennant is surely adorable.

I thought her rendition of "every teacher's worst nightmare" was brilliantly vile ;)

I think I got the gist of most that she said...

But then again, my attention wasn't on her... it was on the annoyingly handsome Mr. Logan... (that's from the 48-seconds interview with him also from last night's show.)

And I can't wait for the opportunity to see the footage of him in a kilt from last night!!! A DT-fanboy-friend who's in the UK said he was overall in the show, and he taped it all (analog video, bother!), but he was excited enough to make me really wish I were in the UK. Um... And the pictures that were put up backed it up.

Oh, and A Rose by any other name? It went quite well with him sonic-screwdriving the 'girl' into Rose's action figure ;)

Ah, that Scottish accent. *shakes head* that man... I mean, I could have left work before midnight. But with the updates coming up rather quickly... I didn't. LOL

And don't more teachers wish they had sonic screwdrivers for such cases!

I got the gist, but not all the individual words. This is, of course, an excuse to watch it again.

And I can't wait for the opportunity to see the footage of him in a kilt from last night!!!

Oh yes!

That Man.

(Happy smile.)

There's some goodies in my post http://kikibug13.livejournal.com/103321.html#cutid1 (the words with which CT tops it off - I am still not bothered is what I should add, but... )

I haven't found the full footage of DT with the kilt, but I've linked the song where he's seen singing and dancing with the kilt. A song I love a lot too. (Which makes me think of Benny and Joon and Johny Depp... gah!)

David Tennant in a kilt - oh, very nice indeed! Good luck in your quest for the rest.

Benny and Joon was a great movie.

Indeed it was.

And the song is very nice too.

And he (DT) looks so SLIM in the few shots of him in the audience... Obviously enjoying himself though LOL

Everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves. And not just because David Tennant in a kilt was among them, though I'm sure that helped!

Tate's voice and accent grate on me like fingernails on a blackboard. I can't stand the woman!
The "Am I bovvered?" line is the catchphrase of her sketch-show character, Lauren, a deeply unpleasant teenager.

Certainly difficult for a Canadian who has to strain to figure out what she's saying. This was certainly an unpleasant teenager - !

That was wonderful! Thank you.

Oh, how I wish we could trade in our politicians for the Doctor... it would be a better world.

I know. It would be so much saner. "Last of the Time Lords hand gesture" Love that! LOL.

Comfort yourself with this thought: In some alternate universe, it might actually be happening. Lucky them.

True. :) I've forgotten. Did you say you'd seen the Doctor Who Weakest Link ep? Because, that's available, too, along with the first new ep. of Who:
