I usually identify very closely with my heroes. Putting parameters on this just to make it possible to say anything at all: I'll limit it to characters I'm currently watching on television. I identify with:

1. Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood and Doctor Who


2. The Doctor in Doctor Who


3. Logan Echolls in Veronica Mars


4. Peter Petrelli in Heroes


5. Maria in The Sarah Jane Adventures

Sadly, I do not outwardly resemble these characters. But I do identify with them, rather fiercely.

Well, nothing wrong with that! I adore Sarah Jane! (Perhaps more in DW "Reunion" than SJA, but it's a close call there.) But I don't feel the same identification with her that I do for Maria. Just as I love Veronica Mars, but identify more with Logan.
