Another Barrowman interview...

"Living It" has a "Barrow Boy" interview that doesn't just go over the same old questions and answers we've heard before.
Asked about his childhood ambitions, Barrowman said, "I wanted to an actor, an entertainer and an airline pilot. The airplane thing never really worked out. It’s lucky I had a sensible, reliable back up." Hmm - Captain Jack is a pilot. Looks as if Barrowman achieved the next best thing.
Also: "When people write about me, I always find it patronising and offensive that they feel compelled to write that I’m a ‘gay actor’ or a ‘gay performer’. They never say ‘so and so is a heterosexual actor’." So true.
And a line I thought unusually self-revealing: "Being a perfectionist is overrated. I’m a control freak, there’s a difference."

A lot of his answers reflect the kind of creative spontaneity I've come to expect from him.
