Enigma Variations

Jack resembled a reflection in glass, Gwen thought. Elusive details, invisible background, his reality unclear. A creature of contradictions - so was everyone, but Jack's shone in vivid relief.

On the one hand, he was a loner, keeping his life and his confidences to himself. On the other, a charmer, spouting stories of sexual adventure, each more spurious than the last. Alien life forms? Twin acrobats? Not bloody likely.

He was so sexy he'd made Carys glow, and he lived alone in the Hub, sufficient unto himself.

But sometimes Gwen saw the way Ianto looked at him, and she wondered.

Thank you! I love doing this kind of thing, staring at them to see how they see each other, figuring out what makes them tick, playing with viewpoints.
