I often find it difficult to think what the episode titles in Heroes mean. But I love it that they show them. So artfully, too.

As you all might expect, my favourite parts of this episode were the ones with Peter and Claude. And Claude all Doctorish and crusty and telling Peter to get leave him alone while never quite entirely brushing him off. And birds! Oooh yes, I am very happy about Claude Rains. And I've always been happy with Peter. I loved the way Peter - the empath - knows the right questions and makes the right guesses.

Why does Christopher Eccleston not appear in the cast list on the web page?

As for the others....

Well, Niki and Jessica were getting on my nerves for a while, but I find them much more interesting now in their padded cell. Is the psychiatrist a plant by Mr. Bennet or Mr. Lenderman? Love the way D.L. can just wander in and visit her whenever he wants - as long as no one is looking. I think D.L. should set himself up a sex website like Niki did, he's pretty cute.... And I loved the scene where Micah triumphantly presents him with all the money. Just when he thought he was all legal and above board!

Matt? Adventures of a plumber? Even more boring than he was. I'd rather see him with Clea Duvall (whose name on the show I never remember) than his wife.

Mohindar seems to become more beautiful than ever, and was particularly luscious in that pink shirt. And I don't even like pink shirts. But he still didn't do much - even though it was good to see him interact, even a little, with Peter.

Nathan? I still don't like him or trust him an inch. One of my LJ friends was talking the other day about how, good or bad, Nathan loves Peter so much, and I just don't see it. I see only manipulation, deception and control there. I think Nathan is like Mr. Bennet - whatever affection they may feel for Peter or Claire is channelled into controlling behaviour that discounts their free will and goes to any lengths to maintain that control, regardless of harm to the loved one. And that's how villains act.

Hiro and Ando were wonderful as always, but just biding time in this one - comic relief - I have to admit, though, that I loved the scene where they were hiding under the car, and the car drove away. Having seen George Takei's name in the credits, it was easy to guess that the big bad Boss they were being taken to was Hiro's father. I was reminded of the scene in The Vor Game by Lois McMaster Bujold, where Miles expects to face court martial or the deepest ImpSec dungeon, and instead has to meet a fate far worse - face to face with his father.

No Isaac? No Simone?

I can't believe any fool would think Sylar was really dead. Haven't these people ever read a comic book?

I love it that Claire is defying her father, and may have found her real mother, and that Zach has befriended her again. When we saw Meredith's flame power I thought: hmm, we have an invisible person and a fiery person, will we next get a strong rocky person and a hero who can stretch, and so have the whole Fantastic Four? I thought it was the X-Men roster we were working our way through.

I love the Haitian, and I want his story! Not to mention his name.

Seems to me we're getting a lot less sex on this show than we used to. I hope that isn't a permanent trend.

Mr. B. seemed to recognize the windchimes for what they are, which is worrisome for the Haitian.

Very worrisome indeed! I worry. Not just for the Haitian - Claire's wefare is on the line here too. And we know how it goes: save the cheerleader, save the world.

Looks like Mr. B. has a more pressing things to worry about than what the windchimes told him at the moment, though!

Yes indeed! Suspense in every direction.

I was a bit worried too... I suppose we'll have to wait and see. I think Mr. Bennet needs the Haitian too much to do him much harm, but that doesn't mean life will be pleasant for him for awhile. Of course, I suppose the Haitian being even temporarily out of the picture would mean Claire being without her most powerful ally and Matt being able to read Bennet's mind, so...

Good thought. I like the way the Haitian obviously knows a lot - as much as Mr. Bennet, probably. Seems to me that if people are taking sides, he's not likely to be on Mr. Bennet's side in the end.

When Peter and the Haitian meet, is there likely to be some sort of short-circuit?

You've given me something to think about here. I *really* did not like the vibes in that moment when Nathan suggested Peter could find himself in the looney-bin if he didn't play ball.

It was suggested in an earlier episode that Mr. B's been wiping his wife's mind a lot more often and for a lot longer period of time than he's been wiping Claire's mind. Which is quite horrible.

We do not know yet if Claire finding her mom is a good thing at all... on this show, things flip when you least expect them to. It could turn out that Claire's Mom is evil and tried to kill her baby, and might try again once she meets up with her... we do not know!

What did Willy Wonka say? "The suspense! I hope it lasts!"

Yes, that's the kind of thing I mean. He acts loving towards Peter, but it has to be on his terms and he seems quite ready to destroy Peter if Peter doesn't just go along with it.

Uh-huh. She's such a ditz. You have to wonder if she was always that way, or if all that mind-wiping has made her so.

We do not know yet if Claire finding her mom is a good thing at all... on this show, things flip when you least expect them to.

Of course. For all we know, she might be a plant working for Mr. Bennet.

Lots and lots of questions - suspense in every storyline! I love it. And it isn't articial, either, it's all suspense based on character and plausible, convincing plotting.

What the HELL was that plumbing crap about? Who freakin' cares?! Gah! That was a waste of precious moments that could have been spent on a story that mattered. Any story.

And, yes, I'm uber-excited about Claude and that he did indeed come looking for Peter again. How could he not? And I'm also excited about the history of all these mutations he seems to hold - I'll be fascinated to see just what he knows.

I'd be sorely tempted to visit DL's website.... hehehe And, yes, Micah coming through with the cash was pretty dang cute. I like that kid. And I don't like many kids.

No Issak was sad. He's a cutie. Hiro and Ando not getting to do much was also sad, but I'm sure they'll get plenty of screen time in the next episode, so I'm not worried about it.

Claire's mom was on Nip/Tuck! I had wondered why Gina wasn't on much last season... apparently she was lining up a job on Heroes :)

Dunno. So odd. So... pointless!

That was a waste of precious moments that could have been spent on a story that mattered.

We could have had a couple more minutes of Claude and Peter. I'd have liked that.

I'm also excited about the history of all these mutations he seems to hold - I'll be fascinated to see just what he knows.

I love his role - in a way, he's taking the place of Mohindar's father, who seems to have known most about what was going on, but who is dead. Now Claude comes along from a decidedly non-academic angle, and he can fill in gaps. What a wonderful, wonderful character.

Micah coming through with the cash was pretty dang cute. I like that kid. And I don't like many kids.

Micah has his moments. For a while there I was mad at him for his treatment of DL. But I like intelligent characters, and Micah is intelligent, and I like the way he thinks independently.

No Issak was sad. He's a cutie.

And cleans up nicely... His power is interesting elusive. I mean, he can't exactly fight a supervillain with it. All he can do is warn, obliquely.

I keep wondering if Simone has a power. I know I can't expect all the characters in the show to have powers, but there are some I think might be still undisclosed. Mohindar being another.
