I went trekking out into the snowstorm at lunchtime to get some exercise, pick up a library book, and check to see whether the local supermarket had the breakfast cereal I had so enjoyed in Malta, Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Clusters.

No, they didn't.

But on my way out of the store, I noticed a catchy headline on a magazine: "What can you do in 15 minutes?" It was suggesting various items of household utility ("unclutter your car") but my thought was: Do you have Captain Jack, and a stopwatch?

... and a stopwatch?

Oh wow! LOL

(btw... I've just started a Torchwood RPG over at greatestjournal... as a new, bewildered employee of TW1, rebuilt... yum!)

All pathways in my brain lead to Torchwood....

An RPG! - cool.

Well yes. So far, we've reunited Rose and Ten, had an alternative universe Gwen (who's just lost Jack _and_ Owen to Abaddon /sp?/) spill out of the rift into TW3 and meet canon Gwen... and those two are just focal; I'm not mentioning other random characters wandering blundering around TW1 and TW3 (well, one is sitting in TW1 and trying to search for TW4)

LOL. So is Jack dead? Still?

Read a fanfic last night that I loved, where it's the Doctor, not Gwen, who in "End of Days" wakes Jack with a kiss.

No, Jack is trying to get rid of paperwork in his office. I think we're a couple of years later than End of Days, at least.

Well, I guess Jack is dead still in the AU where Gwen was, but... I think that's the universe that Rose also disappeared from. Or, perhaps, not.

Well, works both ways for me.

Good luck to him. Suggestion: give it to Ianto. Second, better suggestion: Give it to Abaddon. He'd know what to do with it!

Hahahahahaha...
I don't think anybody's volunteered for Abaddon. Yet.

I think he'll get happily distracted by a newbie. Oh, and 19-year-old Hermione Granger just popped up at the base of the waterfall...

Okay, give her the paperwork!

Hermione and Jack. Oh my goodness. I can just just imagine the clash of attitudes.

yep... It's also a cross-fandom RPG. We've got House, we've got Paige Matthews, and a few more characters I don't think I'd heard about...

Who is Paige Matthews?

The youngest sister in the series Charmed. I think I've actually seen a couple of eps of that...

Uh... did I say the youngest of three *witch* sisters?

Witches. Yes. Seems odd to me, but then, some people probably think Time Lords and Time Agents are odd....

Ah. I've never seen it and don't know the names. Thanks for explaining!

I have been wanting a stopwatch for a good three years [for puzzle timing]: Fandoms make wants even more wanty.

From: [identity profile] fajrdrako.livejournal.com
Yes, me too! It's now on my 'must get' list, rather than me 'this would be nice to have someday' list.

I really need it for my morning workouts, you understand. And for games-playing.

And why does everything that has anything to do with a stopwatch now sound to me like innuendo? I can thank Ianto for that!

I've got one in the shape of an egg. Guess you are supposed to call it an egg-timer, but it times up all the way to 75 and there is no way I'll boil my eggs that long.

That would be one scary hard egg!

It was suggesting various items of household utility ("unclutter your car")

am I the only one who misread that as unclutter your CAT!?

I don't know, but since I have neither a cat nor a car, I'm unlikely to be doing either!

Lovely icon you have there.
