Flowers....
Jun. 26th, 2003 11:22 amI learned yesterday about a kind of flower I'd never heard of: yellow lilacs.
There are plenty of lilacs around here in May and June, but they aren't yellow. They're white, mauve, purple and even blue. Lilac colours. So - yellow? When someone mentioned this, I was skeptical.
But I found online pictures, like this one:

Apparently they're rare, but they clearly exist.
I think they're lovely.

Date: 2003-06-26 08:01 pm (UTC)I don't think lilacs ever live long once they're cut. YOu were lucky with 48 hours - I'd guess 24 is tops. But so pretty, and the smell so heavenly - ! I walk past many lilac bushes on my way to work in the morning, and the scent just fills the air.
