I cannot believe how good Battlestar Galactica is. This was one of my favourite episodes, right up with Scar and You Can't Go Home Again. It helps that it so heavily featured my favourite character, Will Adama. Kara wasn't in it so much but what was featured of her was perfect - how wonderful to see her flying again. And Saul Tigh, at his best. Lee, ditto, troubled by his father's confidences. And even though I don't usually like Laura Roslin, she was at her best here, outmaneuvering Adama.

It's almost overwhelming to have so much good material these days. Seeing Casino Royale and then this Battlestar Galactica in the same day was rather intense.

Haven't see the episode yet - not sure where exactly my day went, but did watch Boomtown with my mum this evening, got unexpected feedback on my one Brideshead ficlet (hurrah!) and *drum roll*, wrote a tiny little HH ficlet. Yes!

That is, I think it's a ficlet and not part of the longer WIP which exists mainly in my head. Set on board the Indy after H and A's rescue of the Duchess and their return to El Ferrol. ::flexes writing muscles:: Will post it tomorrow, if I don't decide it's crap before then. ;)

Wonderful!

Also wonderful! I look forward to that!

I watched that last week with [livejournal.com profile] walkingowlwalkingowl. I always enjoy it because Jack and the Doctor and Rose are so happy together (and poor Mickey, who can't stop wanting Rose). Actually there are many things I like about the episode, including the "My Dinner With Andre" sort of concept, where the core of the action is the Doctor taking his alien enemy out for dinner. It's just... amazing and brilliant.

I have a Torchwood pwp in my head and I'm not sure whether it's worth writing or not. Probably not. I have other stuff I should be working on. But... maybe.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of BSG: Hero. [livejournal.com profile] maaseru and I thought it was wonderful. [livejournal.com profile] maaboroshi thought it was lame. Which I can't even imagine, I loved it so much.

YES! Yes, it is! Please. Okay, I realise I am being somewhat of a hypocrite here, what with not having posted my HH ficlet/scene/thingy yet. How about a deal - I'll post mine if you'll post yours?

Hmm, that does sound like a deal. Okay, we'll see if I can write mine in the next couple of days. Deal?

PS

Hero was okay, but even the fact that I was able to survive without watching it till today is rather sad. I seem to have lost most of my BSG-squee.

Oh well, this week's Torchwood more than made up for it. I need to reply to your post on it, because Owen really won me over this week and I get the impression you're not quite so enamoured. Are you? ;)

Well, I'm more into Torchwood and Doctor Who than BSG, which you can tell by the way I can't seem to stop talking about Torchwood even though I think BSG is a brilliant, brilliant show. But I never did feel very fannish about it - never wanted to write BSG fic, for example. Even though I sometimes like reading it. But even then... I don't crave it in the way I crave Torchwood fic. And I would crave Doctor Who fic if only people were writing the stories I want to read.

I find Owen extremely interesting, but I still don't find him sexy. It doesn't matter, really; Jack, Gwen, and Tosh (and to some degree, Ianto) make up for it.
