Now, I have a fascination with many Egyptian deities and images, and Bastet... isn't the one I most gravitate towards. But this sounds quite like me, in a Libra-like way. (Anxious? Am I anxious? Well... sometimes.)

I had to fiddle with it till I found their description of Mout. Sounds as if it's their variant transliteration of Ma'at, who has always been a favourite of mine - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ma%27at. She's a biggie, and a good one. Wisdom, justice and creation. Go for it!

Feeling grumpy and sick. Better, yes, but less comfortable with it, I think - more impatient. I almost didn't come in to work today. Forced myself reluctantly. Now I'm staring at my database and telling myself that focussing on projects (and getting things done efficiently) was one of my New Year's Resolutions. I'd rather focus on Captain Jack or Ma'at or some such interesting object. But that's just because I'm feeling... grumpy and frumpy and out of sorts.

This will pass. Especially once I have this database licked into shape.

(It's a sign of my current state that the verb 'licked' immediately gave me a sexual image of Captain Jack and that's not really odd or unusual, just - less under control than usual. But it does cheer me up!)

At least I know I'm not the only one who's overenthusiastic. Luckily, haven't been that sick for more than a year... but I'd still be coming here half-days against my co-worker's advice.

Captain Jack is one of those characters you can cross over with anyone and anything. I used to think Methos was the best that way - the difference being that we never saw Methos in the future, though there's no reason to think he couldn't just live on and on and meet up with the Vorkosigan characters anyway. But he doesn't travel in time, except forward, like the rest of us. We've seen Jack in the past and the future and there's really nowhere he couldn't be and nowhere he couldn't go.

He's so ... flexible.

I didn't realize our birthdays were so close...

I'm october 20th, which makes me the sign after you in egyptian astrology.

Which is odd cuz the female color for that sign is blue, and i'm wearing a blue shirt now lol.
