[livejournal.com profile] shaggydogstail has a delightful Torchwood New Year's item: New Year's Resolutions For Over-Sexed Alien-Hunters. I like Captain Jack's resolutions best.

Perhaps I should add 'eat more vegetables' to my list. On the other hand, it's part of the yoga thing anyway....

(Considering adding, "watch more Torchwood"...)

Eh? Does one need a resolution for that? If I _were_ to make a resolution, it would be to try and be a tad less obsessed. But then again, I haven't made such a resolution, so.

BTW, in the group of friends I spent the New Year's with, I actually met in RL a person who had seen Torchwood (Everything Changes). He wasn't overenthusiastic (script-wise, he was very disappointed), but he had actually SEEN it. He hadn't seen Doctor Who. So he had probably missed a lot of the ep, too.
Sigh. I wish he _had_ liked it, though. Then I would have had an excuse to rant. And rant some more.

Oh well. The fast snow that is falling outside the window (right behind my computer screen) is doing nothing to help my concentration for work. *grin*. So I'm spoiling Torchwood's finale for myself...

Well, um, no, obviously not. My thought was more in the way of legitimizing my addiction. "Oh, well, I have to watch Torchwood again, it's one of my resolutions..."

I would never resolve to be less obsessed. I am enjoying myself way too much.

Cool! The only people I know in RL who have seen it are people I've watched it with or showed it to.

That's too bad. I can understand - the script wasn't brilliant, and I can imagine that, especially if you've never seen Doctor Who and don't already know Captain Jack, it might seem rather... unfocussed.

I would have had an excuse to rant. And rant some more.

We'll just have to go on ranting among ourselves!

So I'm spoiling Torchwood's finale for myself...

Eee! I'm still (mostly) unspoiled for the ending but I know that won't last. I'll watch it tonight.

I saw some icons.
Then I couldn't resist it and went to see the screencaps gallery. There was one icon that just wouldn't leave me alone. I... was crying, or almost.

Let me just say I expect a good cry of myself tonight. Especially since I intend to watch both eps.
Then I'll go back to DW, I guess.

From an icon? My goodness. I think I'll have to keep away from LJ today. There is so much spoiler-danger lurking out there. Can I resist?

Good plan. I'm planning to watch "The Sarah Jane Smith Adventures" and to watch "The Runaway Bride" again - but finishing Torchwood first. "The Runaway Bride" made me cry. I love being sentimental over these shows!

I think resisting shouldn't be impossible. I had some catching up to do, and I love icons.

But generally, all the goodies are duly spoiler-cut and labeled.

I still have yet to see Bad Wolf... (IIRC, that's the ep after The Doctor Dances). So, there is plenty of goodness still in store.

Do you have to go to work, despite being ill? I hope not; but if you do, I wish you an easy day at work today.

I know I can't resist looking at my flist, so I will be careful and hope for the best.

No, "Boom Town" is next after "The Doctor Dances". There are five episodes of Doctor Who which feature Captain Jack: "The Empty Child", "The Doctor Dances", "Boom Town", "Bad Wolf" and "The Parting of the Ways". "Bad Wolf" is the episode that sets up "The Parting of the Ways". "Boom Town" is more of a stand-alone, though it's a sequel to "The Aliens of London" and "World War Three" and it's set in Cardiff, so you do get some lovely set-up for Torchwood continuity.

Personally, I love "Boom Town" - it's one of my very favourite Doctor Who episodes, and not just because Jack is in it.

On first viewing I didn't like "Bad Wolf" so much but on subsequent viewings I love it more and more.
