Torchwood scenes...

I'm taking the Supernatural Fannish Five meme from kelex and applying the same questions to Torchwood. This is right after watching the stopwatch scene one more time, in case it had changed any of its nuances since the last time I watched it. Nope. No harm in looking, though, just in case.

This follows through on my listing yesterday of favourite episodes, but this time it's just focussing on moments and scenes.

What are your favourite Torchwood moments so far, involving:
1. Captain Jack Harkness?
(1) From Ghost Machine: Teaching Gwen to fire a gun. So to speak. Such sensuousness; and that amazing smile when she fires.
(2) The scene when Carys takes the hand in Day One, and he'll do anything, anything, to save it.
(3) Dancing and romancing Rose Tyler on top of an invisible Chula Warship over London during the Blitz... oops, sorry, wrong TV show. Perhaps I could list my favourite Captain Jack scenes from Torchwood and then my favourite Captain Jack scenes from Doctor Who? But then... that would be all of them.
(4) The stopwatch scene in They Keep Killing....
(5) The scene where he threatens Ianto with his gun in Cyberwoman.
(6) Standing on the rooftops of Cardiff, especially in Everything Changes.

I could continue to list Captain Jack scenes for a very long time.

2. Gwen Cooper?
I like just about every time she opens her mouth, aurally because her accent is so sweet, visually because I love the gap in her teeth. But I have to pick specific moments and scenes. Hrmm.

(1) Gwen snogging the sex alien in Day One, and the follow-up scene where she tells Jack and Tosh about it and they say, "We know." Yes, I know, I have no shame. (Neither do they.)
(2) Gwen teasing Rhys into forgiving her for working the late shift in Everything Changes.
(3) Gwen confronting the Weevil in the hospital in Everything Changes.
(4) Gwen with Owen (in his shirt) at the end of Countrycide.
(5) Gwen pacing around Jack's office while he talks about the twin acrobats in They Keep Killing....
(6) Gwen staring at Jack at the end of They Keep Killing....

Since Torchwood is such an ensemble show, let me add one favourite scene with each of the other regulars.

Ianto - Head-butting the cannibal in Countrycide. Way to go, city boy!
Owen - Removing the shot from Gwen's body in Countrycide.
Tosh - Telling Suzie that she has made their job a little less honourable in They Keep Killing.... That, and lounging around in a beautiful kimono with Mary in Greeks Bearing Gifts.

3. A male guest star?
The scene where Gwen asks the cannibal why he did it, in Countrycide, and he whispers the answer.

4. A female guest star?
DI Swanson laughing at the Torchwood crew and then helping them out with Emily Dickinson in They Keep Killing....

5. A bad guy?
The scene where Suzie shoots Captain Jack in Everything Changes.

That was so great. I loved Cyberwoman but I still found Ianto a bit of a cypher till Countrycide. Then I had a sense of his character and his potential. Then, I was an Ianto fan.
