I found this drawing of a woman oddly fascinating.

Wow, that really was fascinating. I had no idea that the word "drawing" was going to be a verb, not just a noun. Thanks for posting that link.

I've never seen anything quite like it. Amazing.

You're welcome! So very cool. I can't imagine how it was made or animated... probably a sign of my artistic and technical ignorance.

thank you!

Layer on layer, knowing someone to the core ;-)

I am listening to BBC radio 3 program Late Junction a mixture of classical, modern, folk, jazz and stuff in between. During the first part of the drawing it played Moondog's dogtrot. It worked amazingly well together.

Yes - like I try to do in my writing.

How wonderful! I've been listening to John Barrowman songs, and that's good too. In a different way. (I don't usually listen to music while I'm online.)

I like the way it's so conceptually different.

That reminds me of university art class. We learned to draw the skeleton and then to add muscle and eventually clothes and shape. It's messy and fun and you erase a lot and it usually gives you something quite anatomically correct and in perspective.

One of the first things we ever did in class was draw skeletons, skulls, to think of humans from the most basic form (because the natural thing is to try drawing someone straight, line for line, from the finished project) and then add muscle and flesh to it. I miss art!

I've always wished I had artistic talent, but sadly, I do not. Just an artistic eye.

So true! And with an unusual perception - that is, we don't usually see drawings by animation.

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought the skeletal stage was the most beautiful.

Then again, that could be the several jumbo margaritas talking. (Just got back from girls' night. We went to a Mexican restaurant I can walk home from. Reeeeeally good idea.)

Sounds like fun! (And reminds me of that evening of margaritas in Chicago with [livejournal.com profile] dargie and friends... but I digress....)

The skeletal stage was certainly beautiful but I'm not sure that was my favourite bit. I liked the... fluidity of the whole.

Good icon.
