1. Do you keep a list of books to read?

   Yes. I often come across recommendations online - because I discuss books a lot with friends. I always jot these things down. Sometimes I go directly to the library website to request them.



2. Where do you keep your list (computer, PDA, paper, etc.)?

   In little notebooks that I always keep in my purse. I am always on the lookout for small lined notebooks, which are oddly hard to find in Ottawa - I got some good ones in Malta that were just perfect. Sometimes the dollar store has good ones, with plastic covers.



3. How often do you refer to your list? Every time you go for a new book to read? When book shopping? Or?

   I use it then, or when I'm wondering what to look for in the library. When I go to a bookstore, I'm more likely to use the notebook to make notes - many long notes, sometimes several pages of notes per trip - on books I see that I might like to read but can't afford to buy at present. Then I have the titles and authors to hand when I go to the library.

I don't keep lists. I may jot down a note of something to find in the library or buy, but not otherwise. But I do compile bibliographies for what I'm writing.

I don't generally make lists of anything except books. And of course, if you're witing anything, bibliographies are important. I have bibliographies for my research (mostly on file cards) but that's something entirely different, which I take more seriously.
