What's the best memory you have of your Dad?

From the recent past: going to visit him in Vancouver, when he was about eighty years old. He'd been complaining about bursitis and I expected him to be, well, old. And he was. But by gum he could outwalk me still. We were walking through an area at the University of British Columbia with Japanese Gardens, and nice sites, and there was a place he wanted to go where the gate was closed. The gate was a bout 5 feet high, and he was about to climb over it.... with his cane clutched in his hand.
