I just read a CLex story I really liked, that I thought was exceptional. It's Zero Plus by

rivier.

A few wonderful lines, in Lex's voice: "'It's okay, Clark, I understand,' I say, because if you love someone it's right and it should be the easiest thing to use the tools you have to hand, your icy heart, your impervious cloak, to close around you and spare them the pain."

"The Talon. Look at that. I created my very own little hell-on-earth.... It's like Pinball of the Damned, and Satan is proving to be a wizard on the flippers."

This story did a lot to cheer me up on a bad day.
