You'd think I'd have heard everything that could possibly be said about the Dunnett books, and argued every argument, and examined every word - but somehow there's always more there that lures me back.

That's a great icon there.

Thanks. It isn't exactly my mental picture of Lymond, but it's a bit closer to it than some of the other book covers *g*.

Some of the book covers are unbearable - and centuries off the period! This picture isn't so bad. I can't recall which cover it is - "Pawn in Frankincese"?

I think it's from "Queen's Play" but I'm not 100% sure. I own the early Sphere paperbacks, which are indescribably bad, but I've got quite fond of them in their own peculiar way because they were my entry point to the wonderful world of Dunnett. I have other versions now, but none of them give quite the remembered thrill of reading the books for the first time as the terrible old Sphere paperbacks do.

Yes, it's the cover of my rather battered copy of QP. Not sure of the publisher.

My paperback copy of QP is rather battered too. I read those books so often they tend to wear out - and it isn't so easy to replace them any more.

Yes please! And tea. My throat still hurts.

I have tea in plentiful supply. I even have a special blend called 'throat tea' which is supposed to be good for the throat. Have some more!

Oh man! I really need that tea. :( I'm going out to dinner for now... Everyone at work seems under the weather.
