A very, very good morning...
Aug. 24th, 2006 09:05 amI woke up happy this morning, with a story half-written in my head. Not a plot bunny, not an idea for a story, not thoughts about a story I want to write, but an actual story - all the words just thrown up by my brain-neurons, words and ideas in place, just waiting for me to take transcription.
I love it when that happens. There's nothing better. (Except sex.)
And it kept on happening as I walked to work. Of course I have (almost) no time to write anything down but I'll do what I can. Quality doesn't matter. The story is happening. It's been a long time since it came like this, unforced.
Happy, happy day.

Thanks for the good wishes about the story. It feels so good to be writing again.
I watched "Fear Her" again tonight. Manly hair hand. Edible ball bearings. Heh. Such good lines in that one.

Date: 2006-08-25 04:39 am (UTC)I'm digging it-- although I was with the fam the two days previous and I'm already missing them.
What do your pictures look like? Which Doctor is it?
Nine and Rose for now, 'cause I found one I liked.... the Python picture is black and white and very, very silly, as it should be.
It feels so good to be writing again.
Sometimes, you just need to write. It feels like something coming unstuck. Hell, I'm looking forward to writing papers. :D
"Fear Her" is brilliant. Great lines, great interaction, very interesting "villain"-- classic "everyday" new new Doctor.

Date: 2006-08-25 12:57 pm (UTC)Nine and Rose - really, that's the perfect subject. And of course a Monty Python picture should be silly.
It feels like something coming unstuck.
Unstuck - yes, that's it exactly. I don't know why it was stuck or why it stopped being stuck but it hardly matters. I'm writing fiction. It doesn't even matter if it's crap or it's brilliant (or somewhere in between), I'm writing!
I would be looking forward to writing papers, too. Your going to college is a vicarious thrill for me.
There are just so many wonderful details in "Fear Her". I love the moment when Rose suddenly notices the Doctor isn't with her, and turns around, and he's halfway down the street. He's so full of momentum in this one - climaxing of course with the Olympic torch run. And it's another story where he is interacting with a kid, I love his conversations with Chloe and the child-alien.
