I won a week at a fitness centre.

Now, don't laugh. Just because I've never done a fitness-center/gym sort of thing before doesn't mean I can't.

I wanted to check this place out, to see if it was worth joining when I can't exercise outdoors in the winter.

I had a tour yesterday, conducted by a woman named Tina who must have weighed about 60 lbs. I felt like an elephant.

The place looks good, though, and has neat classes. Which is of course exactly what they want me to think. Let's see what I think after an exercise session this morning.

So I'm going off to the gym now. I like saying that - but it doesn't feel like me!

I have to tell you - I didn't think I was a "gym person" either, but once you get going, it feels *really* good and you can't imagine skipping.

I was astounded how much I enjoyed it. I really didn't think it would 'take', but - my goodness, it's a wonderful feeling, all your energy flowing.
