But not, alas, the Doctor.

My blood pressure, after several months on the pills, is just as high as it was before. The upshot? Three more months of the pills to see what happens. Okay.

I resolve to add daily yoga because I think that does make a difference. As does diet.

Just before I left, Dr. Griffiths said, "I was at your theatre last month. I saw that play about all the women..."

"Talking Heads?"

"Yes, that was it. It was so good I wondered why I didn't go to your theatre more often."

Nice comment. I'll have to send her our brochure for next season.

sorry to hear about your bloodpressure.

hope it will go down as it is supposed to
yes, yoga (and other excerzise)and diet (don't know whether you need to loose weight? I picture you as quite active, energetic and in shape.)

Fun about the compliment about "your" theater.

Yeah, I need to lose weight. I am active (most of the time), energetic (except when I'm not) and reasonably in shape (I think), but still weigh somewhat more than I should and losing a few pounds would be good for me. So - I am resolved to do it.

Yeah, I always like it when people say nice things about "my" theatre.

I should be loosing some pounds as well. And get more into shape. Trouble is (partly) all those meds I am on, they realy do srew up your metabolism. After starting on seroquel I had way more energy so I started to go to the gym, clean my house, ccycle, while before I just sat on my chair and stared at the screen a bit. Nor did I start eating more, but I did gain weight, feels very unfair.
Wish you luck with your attempt

Yes, I think meds messed up my metabolism too. And hormonal imbalances, and candidiasis - which go together. So! I don't plan to let that stop me. Thanks for the good wishes.

I like the notion of it being 'my' play. I didn't even sell tickets for it... I did, I suppose, bank the proceeds.

I hope the yoga helps.

So do I! I'm counting on it.

Sympathies. My Mum is on blood-pressure medication. Did they check you were on the right sort? Apparently, beta-blockers aren't suitable for a lot of people, and there's another kind available.

I don't think this is a beta-blocker, it's a diuretic. I actually haven't noticed it having any effect at all, but how would I know? I don't like taking pills, I don't like beeding to take pills, and there's something about taking blook pressure medication that makes me feel like Methusaleh. So it was a pschological wrench at first. Not so much now. Just a minor nuisance. I have to cut all these tiny little pills in half and take a half per day.

Hmm, thinking of the Doctor does tend to send my blood presure right up. Certain Doctors even more than others. ;)

Do you think that might be at the root of the problem? Not that I'm planning to stop thinking about certain Doctors, you understand! And I'll be watching another episode at Pat and Sandi's tonight with Beulah. Such fun.
