I got this quiz from [livejournal.com profile] spiderine.

What do you know! I thought my results here would be really dumb - thinking it was almost inevitable. My opinion of Star Trek characters is low these days. I did the quiz and turned out to be just about the only Star Trek character I would want to be - well, I guess Data or Ensign Ro or Dr. Bashir would be okay too, but this is the one I really admire and identify with.

Well - I can only heartily approve! When you're good, you're good!

Interesting that you're only 19% Spock and I'm almost as much Spock as Picard. Dunno how that Redshirt got in there though.... Who can assign character to redshirts?

I'm not sure about that, either.
As you say, Redshirts have no real personalities.

Redshirts usually have minimal personality, and insofar as they do have personalities, each one has a different personality, so how could someone answering a quiz turn out to be like them all? Ah, well, no one ever said these quizzes made much sense....

I seem to have a minor weakness for them anyway.

Hmm. If I knew how to make them, I'd make "What Baron of Outremer Are You?"

Oh my God, you're just as equally a redshirt as Picard. What a hoot! Hee!

You know, for some reason I associate the words "Patrick Stewart" and "riding crop". This can probably be blamed on my mother somehow, but I can't quite recall the exact time or place she made this connection. I do remember I was quite young. Weird.

Patrick Stewart... riding crop... brings an image to mind of him in English riding gear on a black horse, but where the mental image comes from I can't imagine. Possibly my imagination. Possibly something in "Star Trek", though it's not a Treklike image.

The first time I remember seeinging and taking note of Patrick Stewart was as Sejanus in "I, Claudius". He was as sexy as he was evil. It was quite wonderful.
