Doctor Who: Love and Monsters..

In a record marathon, I watched a total of four episodes of Doctor Who today, and I met my story deadline (by the skin of my teeth). I'm feeling pretty happy.

Especially since Love and Monsters was... was... I'm not sure what word to use. I think it had me chortling out loud, if not cheering. Amazing, surprising, brilliant television.

So now I have watched all the episodes of the new series of Doctor Who - what next? Well, I'll watch them all over again, probably. Tomorrow, another Doctor Who video party at Sandi and Pat's place - I believe New Earth is on the agenda. Maybe sometime soon I'll hold a video-party of my own. And, of course, now I can watch all the Confidentials, and the extras on the DVDs, and read all the fanfic, and plunder all the webpages with screencaps.

I can't believe how good that was.

well, may I point out that Tennant is not for nothing called then 10th Doctor. There s a whole history behind him. Ok, they might not look so snazzy and feel a bit dated. But there is a lot worth while.

Well, that's a point. I know I have friends who would be eager to show me episodes from earlier years. The thing is, they didn't much appeal in the past - would I like them now? Hmm.

Good God! LOL.

Love and Monsters was such fun. I watched it again yesterday. Unexpected and hilarious, and yes, I was laughing out loud.

Re. the Confidentials on the dvd set, I haven't watched them but I've been told that they're not the complete versions shown on tv. So I'll be sticking to my downloaded versions, for fear of losing even a second of CE footage.

One of the special features on the first disc is an interview with CE which was made just before the first episode was shown. Um, I think I might rewatch it when I get home...

I intend to watch every scrap of everything I can find! And CBC aired "Rose" at midnight last night, so I have it on video too. I wonder why CBC hasn't chosen to air the Confidentials... they probably think they don't have the audience.

And now I can search the Net without fear of spoilers, for screencaps and fic and interviews and whatever Good Stuff is out there.

I'm planning to redecorate my bathroom in nouveau Doctor, with some Captain Jack thrown in. I wonder if there's a Captain Jack action figure....

I googled, but the only Captain Jack action figure I found was Jack Sparrow. Which could lead to interesting situations in the TARDIS... ;-D

I chuckle to think of it - or Captain Jack Harkness on board the Black Pearl.

We may have to wait for Torchwood before the action figure comes on the market.
