So once again I watched a Doctor Who episode before work, The Girl in the Fireplace, so far my favourite of the season 2 episodes by far. (Which is not to say I haven't loved them all.) My love of Tennant increases with each episode - and I started out loving him.
After work, I watched The Rise of the Cybermen, and was nonplussed to see it was the first part of a two-parter. I briefly considered watching the second half, decided enough was enough, and had a nap.
I still haven't met the writing deadline that is looming. Damn. What do I have left... one day? Two? Okay, I'll write the story tomorrow.
I also watched half of a DVD about the Battle of Jacob's Ford, kindly sent to me by [Unknown site tag]. It was fascinating - not one of those bits of history on TV that drive me nuts, but really well-presented, honest history. I am familiar with what was written about Jacob's Ford, but I hadn't a clue about the actual physical presence of the castle, let alone its location, and if I'd known the castle was being excavated, I'd forgotten.
The rest of the evening was napping. Yup, tomorrow I do my duty by that story deadline.
