Odds and ends...

I got to read more of The Oxford History of the Crusades because I took the bus home, but didn't read as much as I'd hoped. Fascinating, though.

Then there were two treats waiting for me when I got home: William Shakespeare: His Life and Times, the miniseries with Tim Curry that acampbell told me about. I wonder if I can find someone who'd like to watch it with me?

That was exciting enough; but there was also a beautiful hand-knit scarf in shades of blue sent to my by my friend Helen in Australia. She said it was in thanks for sending her used stamps - ! Bless her, she didn't need to do that. Sending her used stamps is nothing. The scarf is a work of art. How did she know what colours I most love?

It's old. Early 80s I would think. And he's so bouncy there. I haven't seen if for years, so I don't remember much, but I remember the atmosphere. Enjoy it.

It sounds like such fun! Yes, I look forward to it - though I probably won't have a chance to watch it till July. At least I have it now.
