Jun. 13th, 2006 05:42 pmI got to read more of The Oxford History of the Crusades because I took the bus home, but didn't read as much as I'd hoped. Fascinating, though.
Then there were two treats waiting for me when I got home: William Shakespeare: His Life and Times, the miniseries with Tim Curry that
That was exciting enough; but there was also a beautiful hand-knit scarf in shades of blue sent to my by my friend Helen in Australia. She said it was in thanks for sending her used stamps - ! Bless her, she didn't need to do that. Sending her used stamps is nothing. The scarf is a work of art. How did she know what colours I most love?
