Brunch on Bank St...

I had brunch yesterday at Eggspectation on Bank St. with lmondegreen, josanpq, maaboroshi, limmenel, and chinae. We were sitting in a draft and the place was noisy and crowded, and the service was slow, but the food was good and the talk was better and a good time was had by all. My food choice: Bocu Raton Benedict, with decaff coffee.

josanpq and I got into a long and wonderful conversation about Miles Vorkosigan. I would have liked more of a chance to talk about the books.... And I'm sure we'll find it.

At one point someone mentioned Aidan Gillen and we couldn't think of anything he'd been in since Lorna Doone or Shanghai Knights. I saw that he had also been a recurring character on a show called The Wire, which I think was recommended to me at some point - can't recall by whom or when. Does anyone here know anything about that one?

Yes. It was his role as Stuart that made me a fan. I even watched the series through in French because it was being aired on CBOFT and it was a fun way to practice my French. Though I might do better not to copy some of the accents.

If I had time, I'd watch that series again. It's been a while... maybe soon.
