I was walking along Queen Elizabeth Drive by the canal on my way to my hairdresser's this morning about nine o'clock, thinking obsessively but happily about Doctor Who and wondering when I will be able to watch more episodes. Preferably before Wednesday, when Sandi has a video-party lined up. It was windy and cold this morning, about eight degrees. As I passed by a large apartment building I distinctly heard the Doctor Who theme.

It's unmistakable.

Now, the wind was fierce, and must have been carrying the music which much mean someone was watching the show somewhere in the neighbourhood. It was maybe ten seconds, then gone with a turn of the wind.

I'm sure it was real. It made me smile. It was like a tip of the hat from fate, saying "Let me tease you a little." Or maybe: "Beware what you obsess over, since you will get it."

Mmmmm... David Tennant. I can't wait to see the second part of Impossible Planet. Sigh. I'm losing TV on the 16th, so I'll have to get very creative next weekend, if I want my fix...

I don't yet know the episode order or titles, except for the three I've seen ("New Earth", "School Reunion" and "The Idiot's Lantern"). Hoping so very much to see more soon....

The show won't be aired in Canada until October (if then) and I think that's simply cruelty to Canadians.

you can find a list of the episodes (and obsess stuff) on the bbc's website:

Thank you! Smiling broadly, I know have Doctor Who wallpaper, thanks to their rather extensive collection. Goodies all over the place.

Ooh! Which pic? I had a very spoilery image from the last CE episode as wallpaper - not saying what it was. ;P

How's the "procuring" going? Give me a shout if you want me to send you any of the episodes. Or the Confidentials, maybe, so you can concentrate on getting the episodes? The last time I sent something to Canada, it only took a week! I sent [livejournal.com profile] walkingdaydream all of Nine and the first few Ten episodes. Haven't heard yet whether she's hooked...

Do you mean The Satan Pit? With the Black Hole, and the Ood?

Ooh! Which pic?

Well, actually, though I did have one of the BBC pics up, I changed it, and my current one is the Theban Band picture of Captain Jack and the Doctor dancing together. How could I resist? If you haven't seen it yet, it's here (http://www.squidge.org/~praxisters/drdance.html).

So far so good on the downloads. The Ten episodes might be more of a challenge - I haven't got to them yet.

I love the exciting feeling of falling in love with a new fandom.
