Lost - Live Together, Die Alone...
May. 24th, 2006 11:23 pmI just watched "Lost", season 2 finale. They put a lot into it. Wow.
How many surprises? I can't count them all. I have been sure for many months now - like Locke - that if they didn't push the button, nothing would happen. Nothing. Whoo - looks as if I was wrong!
Love Desmond. It's that nose.
Pen at the end was a shock. And the Italian guys... what's with that? Her father had me remembering "Sandbaggers", with the odd relationship between Burnside and his ex-father-in-law.
And Libby with Desmond in... wherever they were, at that snack bar. It made me suspect I've seen Libby in other places - not just on the island or in Hurley's hospital - but what is she? A spy, twins, a plant, a hallucination, a ghost - ?
Where is the Island Monster?
What will creepy Henry do to Jack and the others?
Where are Sayid, Jin and Sun now?
I was sure, absolutely sure, that Michael and/or Walt would die. I thought their boat would blow up soon after they left the dock. Or that Henry would order them shot. Or... something. Well, I don't imagine they'll get far. They'll probably run out of fuel and drift back to the beach where Claire, Charlie, and co. are.
So where are Steve'n'Scott? (Heh.)
I want more Sayid in this show. More Sayid!
I also want to see Kate in a more active role. She's got more to her than we see. She's an action-hero overachiever. So why don't we see it?
I need to look up what the hieroglyphs say. I did look up 'swan' and discovered that 'pen' (as in Desmond's girlfriend's name) means a female swan. So is someone else named 'Pearl'? I liked the Libby-Elizabeth connection.
I loved the formerly-guarded doors with the Dharma Institute symbol that turned out to lead to... nothing. Was that recently filled in? Or was the whole Mad Max village a hoax, like the beard?
