Printers...

Ever since josannpq got a laser printer a few years ago, I've been wanting one. Well, today is the day. It's being delivered tonight. And I think it's an HP4+, which is the lovely machine I used at work for a decade and loved with a gentle passion.

At last, I'll be able to print things again at home! Not that the Lexmark I had didn't work; it was a lovely machine, but the ink was so expensive I couldn't afford to replace it whenever it ran out.

I've been fighting a headache all day. I think the headache is winning. But Sheila is coming over with a new episode of Veronica Mars so I'm happy.

I think you'll be happy with your printer. I don't recommend very much computer hardware, but I do recommend HP printers. They build good, solid machines. And if you print a lot of text, it's much more economical to have a laser printer. The way the prices have dropped on laser printers, it's not even worth getting an inkjet anymore unless you absolutely HAVE to print colour. Soon even the colour laser printers will become affordable for the average person.

Colour would be nice, but I never found I used it often. Mostly I print text.

The beast is sitting here next to my desk now, looking beautiful. I keep looking around for something to print, now that I can. Because I can. It's a luxurious feeling!
