Leads me to wonder... I answered Mal-related questions at least partly because I love Mal. But am I really most like him? No, I'm really more like Inara; but the answers related to her all seemed less appropriate. And maybe that's just wishful thinking, to hope I'm like Inara; I'm probably really more like Kaylee, all impulses and enthusiasm.

Well, me too. Ahimsa and all that. But my point was: we all have to fight to be what we are, even if it's a battle on the ideological field, and we all have to be strong, brave and firm to maintain ourselves in a world of conflicting madness all around us. Even if it it's just to pay the rent and to be able to live with ourselves.
